Our stylists are also Instructors and Assessors who are constantly evaluated and who attend updating skills seminars every year. This helps the motivation and inspiration for the team who can in turn pass on fashion / hair trends to salon customers and academy students and models.

RRichard & Nancy

Salon / Academy Principals

The Salon team work under the entrepreneurial leadership of Richard and Nancy Cherry.

Their biography includes global tours including Europe and Asia, providing hair workshops and fashion styling tips. Having worked in Denmark helping to forward new teaching programmes, they have recently receiving inspirational teaching awards, and been involved in the latest 'excellent' Ofsted reports.

They previously gained experience whilst working with celebrity stylists; Andrew Jose, Peter Lunn, David Drew, Damien Carney and Paul Falltrick, to name but a few, and also performing stage work at Salon International and charity hair events.

Richard and Nancy’s passion is to help raise industry standards of skills and knowledge to create a salon feeling of excellence and enjoyment where clientscan have supreme understanding and confidence in all stylists and the services provided.

Lauren Hurdman

Salon Director

New to the E-hair team!

Lauren is an accomplished and talented individual. She has gained experience and valuable technical knowledge from working in various salons around Torbay and participating in courses.

SSam

Senior Designer / Tutor / Assessor

Sam is a bubbly, fun all rounder with good technical skills and a broad smile. She is fully qualified having gained her NVQ Level 2 and 3. Sam has now acheived her A1 assesors award and will be working towards her teaching Awards in the new year.

AAlex

Senior Designer

Alex has obtained his NVQ level 3 and is now working towards his A1 assesors award . He specialises in creative cutting and traditional barbering techniques. Alex has won various local competitions, emphasising his passion for the industry.

KKaren

Salon Stylist

Karen is a naturally talented star who is building her skills and experience fast. Her ability to adapt techniques is exciting to watch! Karen is qualified to NVQ Level 3. Karen is now working towards her A1 assesors award.

IImogen

Graduate Stylist

Imogen is now taking bookings Monday-Friday, working at a Graduate Stylist level.

You'll see Imogen busy around the salon, helping it all run smoothly, she's always on her toes!

Josh

Salon Assistant and Trainee

Josh is working with us as part of his NVQ level 2 apprenticeship. He has previous experience working in salons and good customer service skills; he's always happy to help you with any enquiries you may have.

Becca

Salon Assistant and Trainee

Becca is the newest addition to our team. You will see her helping around the salon, shampooing clients and taking on reception duties. She will be working towards her NVQ level 2 starting in September.

Director of Academy Training

A former salon owner, Iris’s organised and passionate nature means all learning programmes are structured and interesting. Fully qualified, her skills and knowledge constantly assist the development of our Instructors and Assessors. Her qualifications include:

GGarath

Tutor / Assessor

Over 5 years training experience, Level 2 and 3 qualified with A1 Assessors Awards. Garath enjoys his role in the e-hair creative team, although he's taken a back-step from the salon to concentrate on his own venture, he's still a valued member of the team!

CClaire

Tutor / Assessor

Professional and personable, Claire is an experienced assessor and passionate about students. She is a natural teacher, fully qualified having gained NVQ Level 3 and A1 Assessors Awards plus the 7407 teaching qualification.

Paul’s experience and knowledge of our industry and its key players, makes him vital for our product support and business advice.

LLynn

PA to Director / Administration Manager

Chances are that when contacting the E-Hair offices, you will not be greeted by Lynn, our administrator leader and PA to Richard Cherry. Lynn brings her experienced organisational skills and personable nature to be able to assist you with all your enquiries.

‘Kate’, previously a Salon Supervisor is a motivated Trainer who is well known for her enthusiastic approach. A students’ favourite, Kate is currently looking after Work Based Assessment and is, of course, fully qualified.
